The Role:
Responsible for developing new revenue opportunities together with methods and processes to increase business profitability and customer experience; whilst promoting the company’s values, beliefs and branding.
Remuneration & Hours:

Hours of work approx. 40 hours per week

Contacts:
Customers, Sales Team and Haulage Departments
Key Responsibilities:

To achieve agreed targets.
-
Development of new and existing customers.
-
Review and develop current and new customers and revenue opportunities including contract reviews.

Provide Performance Reports against agreed targets to the Director and attend regular review meetings.

Maintain effective consultation and information with the Sales Team and other departments.

Explore areas where further opportunities can be realised.

Work in co-operation with other Wm Armstrong departments to develop joint approaches to customer’s requirements.

Regular communication with other departments.

To promote best practice in maintaining high levels of customer service.

You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.

Follow all site rules, reporting any health and safety issues including accidents to self.

You must comply with all relevant legislation.

Undertake such other duties that are required from time to time commensurate with this position.

Skills/Knowledge
-
Previous experience within a sales/business development environment essential
-
Knowledge and understanding of contractual requirements essential.
-
Excellent working knowledge of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector preferred.

Previous experience in an operational context advantageous.

Previous experience within a warehousing context advantageous.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.

Ability to work under pressure, both individually and as part of a team.

Ability to negotiate effectively and to secure co-operation from external and internal partners.

Ability to process, prepare and present tenders in a timely manner.

Ability to ensure that targets are met both individually and as part of a team.

Good numerical and analytical skills, including experience of spreadsheets and computer-based systems, including Microsoft products.

Flexible approach to work demands, including some evening and weekend work.
