Health & Safety Advisor - based at Longtown CA6 5LY or Uddingston G71 6PB

40 hours per week


Salary: £23,000 - £26000 depending on experience


The William Armstrong’s Group are recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor. With a strong presence in the North of England, Cumbria, Scottish Borders and the Central Belt of Scotland. This role will support the operational teams in these locations, who deliver warehousing, logistics and commercial garage functions, across a varied range of services including, pallet & general haulage, milk and livestock transportation, and workshop facilities.

This is a new permanent role, working 40 hours per week, and will sit within an expanding Support Team reporting to the Health & Safety Manager. You will contribute to the co-ordination of health and safety across the business. Planning, establishing, implementing and maintaining a variety of health and safety initiatives, to assure the highest level of health & safety for both employees and visitors to our sites.


You will support the operational teams in audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigation and assist in the upkeep of the health and safety management system. This will require a good level of IT ability and a working knowledge of Microsoft products.


On a weekly basis you will be required to drive to other sites, so a driving licence is essential.
