Nights Shift Manager

We are currently looking for a Nightshift Manager to join our Operations teams, based at our site in Longtown or another location would be considered for the right candidate.
​
In this role, you will be responsible in ensuring operations within the business are undertaken effectively and in line with business and customer expectations, managing the night operations across all operational departments and locations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed effectively, whilst complying with all transport legislation, health & safety and customer service requirements. Your duties will include briefing and de-briefing with our drivers to ensure deliveries are completed in a safe manner and in accordance with company standards. You will liaise directly with our customers and stakeholders ensuring any queries are responded to in a professional manner. You will also support on collating management info and KPI’s and ensure that site compliance, health, safety, and security is maintained.

To be successful in this role you have a successful background in the transport sector, with knowledge and experience of continuous improvement. You will have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver’s hours and WTD's and knowledge of transport management systems & vehicle telematics. You will have a flexible approach to work demands and need to be an effective communicator with great organisational skills, being able to stay calm under pressure, thriving in a busy and fast-paced environment.

In return we offer: an attractive salary, between £35-48k dependent on experience, access to benefits such as life assurance, medicash scheme, sickness scheme, and pension scheme. The hours for the role can be considered on working a 4 day or 5 day week, working 10-12 hours per shift.
