About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Operations Manager to join a newly formed Senior Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead depot and regional operations across Cumbria, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transport services. You’ll be responsible for driving operational performance, leading teams, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage depot operations across the region, ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Drive a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead, coach, and develop depot managers and their teams.

  • Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and health & safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with commercial, customer service, and fleet teams to deliver exceptional service.

  • Report on regional performance and contribute to strategic planning at the senior level.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior operational role within road haulage or logistics.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent knowledge of transport compliance and safety standards.

  • Commercially aware with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • CPC qualification is essential.

  • Experience managing multi-site operations.

  • Operations Director and SLT peers

  • Compliance, HR, Fleet, and Finance teams

  • Key customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies
