About The Company

Cumbria Truck Centre Ltd, part of The William Armstrong’s Group is a well-established company with a strong presence in the North of England, Cumbria, Scottish Borders and Central Belt of Scotland. Our company ethos is all about placing our customers and colleagues at the heart of everything we do, and this has allowed the business to flourish over many years. Due to recent Board decisions we are embarking on a phase of significant growth over the next 3-5 years. This includes committed investment in its commercial vehicle sales, service and parts division. The product portfolio includes Maxus and Isuzu brands which are well respected in the market, with an existing loyal customer base. We are looking for a van and light commercial vehicles sales executive to join our team to drive and support the anticipated growth.

Remuneration Package

For the right candidate we will offer a very competitive salary including uncapped bonus, company pension, life assurance and attractive holiday arrangements increasing with service.

Flexible Working Location

Our site locations are Cumbria, SW Scotland and Central belt Glasgow, for the right candidate we are open to discuss flexible hybrid working arrangements with a mix of home working, visit to sites and office based.

Responsibilities:

  • To communicate and liaise with customers via telephone, email and face to face.

  • Negotiate with customers to finalise sales of the vehicles.

  • To be fully aware of all relevant sales and technical data associated with the available range.

  • Arranging test-drives and accompanying customers on these tests.

  • To appraise part-exchange vehicles in a professional manner and agree valuation with Sales Manager.

  • To comply with all laid down routines and procedures including completing all order forms and other paperwork promptly and accurately.

  • After delivery, to carry out follow up calls to ensure that the customer is completely satisfied and to obtain repeat sales and customer referrals.

  • To comply with the company’s health and safety policy.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Ability to liaise confidently with customers.

  • Excellent time management skills.

 

 

 

Candidate Profile

 

Essential

  • Highly motivated

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Organised

  • Used to working under pressure

 

Desirable

  • Previous sales experience in a similar field. This is not essential as full training in the product portfolio will be given
