Wm Armstrong Group Ltd was named as a Brand Ambassador at the Palletforce Gala Awards for its work in supporting the national supply chain effort during a challenging year for many transport and logistics companies.
Palletforce is the UK’s premier express freight distribution network – handling more than 45 million pallets – and runs a network of more than 100 member companies across the UK and Europe.
Wm Armstrong Wins Microlise Driver Excellence Award
WM Armstrong, a proud, family-run haulage business that was established in 1927, has scooped the Microlise Driver Excellence Award for 2021, as part of the Microlise Driver of the Year Awards, as the company with the most drivers in the top 1,000 based on telematics data from over 252,000 UK drivers.
The award recognises logistics teams that have consistently displayed driving excellence and superior customer service, with WM Armstrong selected as the overall winner in 2021 based on driver data captured from the Microlise telematics solution in place across its fleet.
According to Shane Kenny, Associate Director, WM Armstrong, “This is a fantastic achievement that could not have come at a better time. The past 18 months have been hugely challenging for the nation and our drivers really stepped up and continued to deliver essential goods when they were needed the most.

The Passing of Cyril Armstrong
It is with great sadness to inform you all of the passing of Cyril Armstrong on Friday 3rd April 2020. Cyril was 77 and had suffered from fibrosis of the lungs for several years. He had been in hospital for the last 6 weeks, had fought off infections and was hoping to get home, before he contracted the COVID-19 virus.

Nicola and Joanna smashed the initial target set from their Hadrian's Wall trek and managed to raise an impressive £3318 for Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland, thanks to their amazing fundraising efforts and the generous donations they received.
Hadrians Wall Trek
Two long serving Wm Armstrong staff members will hike 25 miles across Hadrian's Wall to raise funds for local charity partner, Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland. The trek will take place on 13th/14th September 2019.
