HGV Milk Tanker Driver - Dayshift & Nightshift - Carnforth

We are currently looking for HGV Milk Tanker Drivers to join our Milk Operations team, based out of Carnforth, with opportunities to work either dayshift or nightshift, with various shift patterns available.

 

Benefits Include

  • Dayshift day rate: £155.30 (equivalent to £15.53 per hour)*

  • Nightshift day rate: £176.20 (equivalent to £17.62 per hour)*

  • Overtime dayshift rate: £225.50 (equivalent to £22.55 per hour)*

  • Overtime nightshift rate: £256.80 (equivalent to £25.68 per hour)*

*Rates are inclusive of £1.50 taxable meal rate/£1 non-taxable meal rate (where applicable).

*Driver Efficiency Bonus Scheme: Earn up to £1,500 per annum (full-time equivalent)

 

About the Role

As an HGV Milk Tanker Driver, you will:

 

  • Collect raw milk from farms on planned routes

  • Deliver milk to dairies and reload locations

  • Follow all legislation including WTR, Drivers’ Hours, load security and road safety rules

  • Maintain regular communication with the office team

  • Liaise professionally with farmers and other customers

  • Be flexible to support additional hours during peak periods

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Class 1 (C+E) licence – preferred

  • Class 2 (C) licence – essential

  • Valid DCPC and digital tachograph card

  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative

  • Strong teamwork, customer service skills and good geographical knowledge

  • Experience in milk collection or tanker work is helpful, but full training can be provided.
