Available Shifts: Dayshift or Nightshift

What We Offer:

Competitive Pay Rates:

  • Weekday Dayshift: £15.00 per hour*

  • Weekday Nightshift: £16.30 per hour*

  • Weekend Dayshift: £17.80 per hour*

  • Weekend Nightshift: £19.30 per hour*

*Rates include a £1.50 meal allowance, paid as a £1.00 non-taxable meal allowance where qualifying conditions apply.

 

*Driver Efficiency Bonus Scheme: Earn up to £1,500 per annum (full-time equivalent)

 

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver within our General Haulage team, you will be responsible for delivering a safe, professional, and efficient transport service across our customer network.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out deliveries and collections on behalf of Wm Armstrong Group.

  • Loading, unloading, and securing loads safely and legally.

  • Providing excellent customer service during all customer interactions.

  • Maintaining regular communication with the Transport Office regarding progress and updates.

  • Ensuring compliance with all driver, vehicle, and road transport regulations.

  • Supporting other areas of the business when operationally required.

  • Completing all duties expected of a professional Class 1 Driver.

 

What We're Looking For:

Essential

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence.

  • Current Driver CPC qualification.

  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within the general haulage sector.

  • Good geographical knowledge.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
