Farm Collection Drivers – Lancashire

We are currently looking for Milk Collection Drivers to join our Milk Operations team, having won a new contract in the Lancashire area, we will have potential opportunities available in the locations of Carnforth, Preston and Settle, working dayshifts or nightshifts.
In this role, you will deliver a professional and efficient milk collection driving service within our Milk operations team, collecting milk from farms on planned routes and deliver to dairies and reload locations. You will comply with all relevant legislation including WTR and Drivers Hours Rules, load security, vehicle weights and dimensions and the Road Traffic Act, ensuring the safety of yourself and other road users at all times. You will also keep in regular contact with the office teams for updates on progress and managing customers’ expectations.
To be successful in this role you will be a real team player, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and good geographical knowledge. You must hold a valid UK Class 1 or Class 2 licence, a current DCPC card and digital tachograph card. Experience and knowledge of the milk and/or haulage industry would be advantageous, but training may be available for the right candidate.

In return we offer: a permanent position, with guaranteed hours available at up to 10 hours per day, with variety of shift patterns available, for example, 5 on 2 off, 5 on 3 off, 4 on 4 off. The basic hourly rate for days is £14.47, and for nights is £16.33, with enhanced overtime rates available at £20.95 for days and £23.74 for nights (all rates include a £1.50 meal allowance).
